The Final (Cut Pro)

Recorded my footage for the second time! (first time turned out with corrupted files, plus I have had a lot of trouble with auto focus on my camera!!!) in saying this all, the mistakes have helped me learn a lot – which I am grateful about, and feel a lot more confident in film/editing – with final cut pro x.

Tweaking

Last Stage Tweaking to the Site, enhancing UI friendly aspects, populating with some widgets that will fill negative space. Will record the final video for the assessment tomorrow, edit, and upload, maybe in a new tab.

CSS

Added some custom style rules to the ‘additional css’ tab, was interesting watching the videos on Lynda about cancelling out default themes CSS, with your own code.

Planning

Finished planning out my video introduction structure, answering the questions and trying to be as concise as possible!

Have also mapped out the skills audit on my two career aspirations, and identified how I will gain these skills.

Career Timeline

Added my Career Timeline into a new page – and added this page to my menu.

Was Tricky to size the image to comply with some sort of website flow, considering a click to enlarge feature!

Deakin Talent

Have finally polished off my Deakin Talent Profile,  added some profile information, followed a few profiles / communities and networked – in addition to this I have done similar on LinkedIn.

Career Development

Completed module 2, and it has helped me clarify the specific areas of the IT field I wish to commit to, furthermore set some clear goals within the next few years on how I will enhance my network/experience.

In addition I have created a Linkedin profile, as well as joined a few Meetup groups of interest to my career path!

Customisation

Added a couple of header images, one of a mountain in Zion National Park, when I visited in 2016, and another of a waterfall flying over the Kakadu National Park from my visit to Darwin, also in 2016.

Lynda

have explored the customisation tools/interface for WordPress, installed a plugin under the name ‘Crafty Social’ to add icon links in my sidebar to Facebook, Deakin talent with the addition of a direct link to email me.

Will follow the Lynda tutorials for more insight into where to head next.

Getting Started

Have finally got my website live after a couple of failed attempts, was a good learning curve to troubleshoot the issue. My problem was resolved once deleting all my resources and resource groups from my account, and following the module 1 steps from the start – hopefully smooth sailing from here on in, will look into the reading list resources and further my education on Azure/Wordpress customisation!
